Lyon Confluence is a local public company created 20 years ago, that now has a team of 24 people with diverse and complementary skills. The team is committed to designing and building a creative Confluence in the heart of Lyon, that is respectful of its environment and its users.
Lyon Confluence encourages the neighbourhood's users to initiate projects that improve everyone's quality of life. Circular, social and solidarity-based economy, social links, etc. La Confluence supports citizen projects aimed at improving quality of life in a sustainable and solidarity-based city.
The neighbourhood is being developed for and with its users. This collaborative approach is a driving force behind Lyon Confluence. The objective: to better understand everyone's expectations, to encourage the participation of residents, employees, visitors and also the business community in the planning process.
As a local public company, we have been entrusted with developing La Confluence on behalf of Métropole de Lyon. We play a central role in orchestrating an ecosystem composed of public and private actors and users of the area. Residents, employees and visitors are welcome at Maison de La Confluence.
To achieve its ambitions in urban development, Lyon Confluence works in collaboration with many partners to develop high-quality, ambitious and innovative projects. These partnerships cover all the traditional fields of urban planning, but they also go further. Electric mobility, health and air quality and data are the new fields of experimentation.
Following its history of port and logistics activity, La Confluence long remained an isolated neighbourhood, situated "behind the arches" of Perrache. In 2003, two centuries after its conquest of the waters, the district was reborn and took control of its destiny.
