Lyon Confluence’s mission : 4500 trees

Lyon Confluence joins the network of parties who have signed Lyon Metropole’s Tree Charter. This charter represents a strong commitment for a territory that already has 2500 trees because it involves planting an additional 4500.

Where? In the area between Perrache and the Confluence of the Rhône and Saône, and in le Champ -(new district dedicated to creative industries), in particular.

The Tree Charter in figures:

1990: First Charter

Today: 100,000 trees versus 42,000 in 1990

120 signatories: municipalities, private actors, associations, professional federations, companies, social landlords ...

This initiative is part of Lyon Métropole’s Canopée Plan and its Climate Plan to combat heat in the city.

The objective: 20% fewer greenhouse gas emissions by 2020.
